Buchmacher bringt die Galopprennbahn der 20er Jahre als interaktives Rennspiel in den Browser. Verdeckt auf Favorit oder Außenseiter setzen, Quoten abwägen und das Feld über die Ovalbahn jagen – mit Pannen, Peitschenhieben und Zielfoto-Entscheidung.

Buchmacher ist ein Rennspiel für einen bis vier, mit Spielchips ohne Geldwert: Vor jedem Rennen setzt jeder verdeckt auf eines von vier oder fünf Pferden, und die Quote jedes Pferds ist aus seiner Form und der Distanz berechnet. Dann galoppiert das Feld wie auf einem alten Rennautomaten über die Ovalbahn, mit Pannen und Peitschenhieben, und wer auf den Sieger gesetzt hat, bekommt Einsatz mal Quote. Zwei Sprints über 1.400 Meter, zwei Klassiker über 2.100 und zum Schluss der Grand Prix über 2.800: Nach fünf Rennen gewinnt, wer am meisten vor sich liegen hat.
