Keno 1923 ist das Zahlenspiel Keno für einen bis vier, mit Spielchips ohne Geldwert: Vor jedem von fünf Blöcken kreuzt jede Farbe genau fünf Zahlen aus vierzig an und wählt, was sie je Ziehung setzt – einen, zwei, fünf oder zehn Chips. Dann rollen fünf Ziehungen hintereinander durch, jede nimmt zehn Kugeln aus der Trommel, und alle Scheine liegen dabei offen nebeneinander: Zwei Treffer bringen das Anderthalbfache zurück, drei das Vierfache, vier das Dreizehnfache und fünf das Dreihundertfache. Wer nichts ankreuzt, für den legt das Haus einen Schein zum kleinsten Einsatz; wer seinen Einsatz nicht mehr decken kann, bekommt Kredit. Nach fünfundzwanzig Ziehungen gewinnt, wer das meiste vor sich liegen hat – Chips minus Kredit.
